We often focus on the negative and not what really matters, next time someone calls in sick use it as an opportunity to create better relationships with your team, people get sick that’s life.
How we handle the situation can either build or destroy a workplace. I have never felt valued by being forced to work when feeling ill and I have never felt unappreciated when my boss says “Its ok, rest up, I hope you feel better soon” even in business we are all just people.
